Ventilation
Ventilation is extremely important for neutralizing and removing odors. Additionally, it helps distribute carbon dioxide if we are currently feeding the plants with it. It mixes the air, making it easier to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity throughout the indoor cultivation.
Ventilation is an entire system of equipment
The most crucial elements in ventilation are suitable fans, typically duct or radial fans, with appropriate performance. If noise is a concern, attention should also be paid to this aspect, and acoustic dampers should be used. The fan should be installed to mix the entire air, not just the upper parts, for example. It's good to have at least one fan directed at the light bulbs, which it will naturally cool. Using fans won't eliminate odors, but it can neutralize them. If you want to get rid of unwanted odors, you need to invest in a carbon filter. Odor removal will be possible through efficient and quick action. To make odor removal active, the filter should be placed before the fan, if the air is to be sucked and circulated indoors, or after the filter, which will push out the contaminated air from the closed system. Of course, you can always buy a ventilation kit or use a highly efficient and refreshing odor spray.
Odor filters are effective
Anti-odor filters are typically carbon-based and come in various performance levels. When choosing them, the diameter of the connection, efficiency, and room volume should be taken into account. Investing in their purchase quickly pays off because some models can be refilled with activated carbon. In some cultivation setups, it is definitely not worth forgoing the use of filters.
