Ballasts for HPS / MH

Magnetic power supplies for HPS lamps are devices that supply electricity to high pressure sodium (HPS) lamps. These power supplies use a magnetic transformer to generate voltage and current with appropriate parameters for HPS and MH lamps. Electronic power supplies, on the other hand, are those that come in a variety of parameters to fit different types and wattages of lamps. Electronic power supplies for HPS and MH lamps are often adjustable and can handle HPS and MH lamps of different wattage. They are ready to work when plugged in and come with a power cable, usually about 2 meters long. The only cable you need to buy is the one connecting the power supply to the reflector. Electronic power supplies are designed to be quiet, lightweight and do not get hot during operation. This makes them ideal for indoor use where noise and heat can be a problem. In addition, these power supplies are energy efficient, meaning they use less power compared to magnetic ballasts.
