Harvesters / Trimmers
After a long crop comes harvest time sometime. The more plants that have been successfully grown, the more work will be done with them. Most of the time this is manual work, in which pruning of branches and leaves is done with scissors, for example. It has the advantage of being very precise, reducing the risk of damage to plant parts to practically zero. On the other hand, however, not every grower has so much time to work by hand, especially if his crops are sizable. Reapers and trimmers then come to the rescue.
Manual and mechanical trimmers
These devices are relatively expensive, but allow you to significantly speed up harvesting while protecting your crop from damage. The cheapest is a manual crop trimmer, driven by a crank. It requires cutting fresh flowers at a low height and placing them in a section covered with a special net. Turning the crank makes the flowers circulate on the grid, rubbing against it, and the leaves get cut off and go into the container. It is possible to work very gently with such a trimmer, but its efficiency is thus moderate. Professional gardeners therefore use electric reapers. More expensive, but providing greater efficiency. A lightweight electric trimmer can be attached to a table or desk, while larger devices already stand on their own. These are sturdy devices. Once purchased, a plant reaper will be able to serve faultlessly for many years. When choosing a reaper or trimmer, it is worth paying attention to the material of the cutting blades, as well as the ergonomics of operation and noise level. A good trimmer can work really quietly. When using a reaper, it is imperative to remember that this is a device with rotating, sharp knives, so it is necessary to be careful as stated by the manufacturer.
