Plagron Batmix 50L is a blend of the finest, carefully selected types of peat. It contains various types of fiber and perlite, resulting in lightness and oxygen levels that can only be expected with Plagron quality substrates. The large presence of unique California earthworm droppings ensures vigorous plant growth and increased water retention. The main nutrient in Batmix is bat manure (Bat Guano). Bat manure is naturally rich in phosphorus and potassium, guaranteeing abundant flowering. Only under strictly controlled conditions can Bat Guano be processed into the highest quality Batmix product. Batmix gives the highest yields when combined with Plagron Alga Grow, Alga Bloom and Plagron additives.
Batmix advantages:
- No need to fertilize for at least six weeks.
- Additional phosphorus and potassium from added bat manure.
- Improves odor and taste.
- This product is suitable for organic farming (CU certified).

Frequently asked questions about Plagron Batmix:
1) When should I start adding nutrients when I grow Batmix?
Batmix has fertilizer for about six weeks. When you need to start adding nutrients depends on conditions, such as the amount of light per square meter, the type of plant and other factors. Organic nutrients become available to the plant in about two weeks. If you start fertilizing from the fourth week, nutrients will be available in the sixth week, when the initial Batmix fertilization is over. Check your growing schedule to find out if you need Alga Grow or Alga Bloom and at what dose.
2) Should I adjust the pH and EC values if I grow Batmix?
No, in combination with our 100% NATURAL growing style, you do not need to adjust the pH and EC values.
3) It is recommended to rinse Batmix before use. Why do I need to do this and how do I do it?
Batmix is maximally fertilized. For young plants that are not yet accustomed to high EC values, it can be difficult when they are suddenly planted in soil that is maximally fertilized. Therefore, we recommend flushing the Batmix before placing the plant in Batmix. This is done by filling a pot (e.g. 10 liters) with Batmix and rinsing it with 5 to 10 liters of water. The plant can then be planted directly. Fertilizers absorbed directly will be rinsed off with water. Over the next few days, the EC value in Batmix will increase again and non-absorbable fertilizers will be gradually released.
4) Can I mix Batmix with a full substrate when growing outdoors?
Yes, we recommend mixing Batmix with full soil when your soil outside is very clayey. If your soil is very airy, we recommend using Bat Guano.
